1 Million Zimbabwean Voices in conjunction with Partner Organisations and the support of International Human Rights Bodies plays a pivotal role in the fight for the Rights of Zimbabwean people around the world. We work together to highlight the plight of Zimbabwean people, develop legal framework and promote the protection of these rights in Zimbabwe and abroad.

In 1948 the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the first multinational agreement to mention the rights by name. The Universal Declaration is not legally binding but its ideas have been elaborated into a legal framework comprised of binding treaties.

At 1 Million Zimbabwean Voices we actively campaign for the Implementation of a Human Rights Act in Zimbabwe to ensure that the rights of its people are protected to the fullest extent of the law. These rights belong to every single individual Zimbabwean person and should be fought for with energy and passion in order to ensure that our freedoms and rights are protected from abuse by corrupted and overzealous officials and governments.
