I am in the same situation, also waiting for a decision on my case. As an asylum seeker you not allowed to work, so I had to declare myself homeless. Visited Nas offices in Leicester, their number is 01162616234. They will ask you for evidence, once you qualify they will accomodate and give you some weekly allowances. The people who approve the support are the UKBA. The legal aid solicitors who are still taking cases and winning most of them are Blackmore from birmingham, their number is 0844873500. Hope this will help

I wouls appreciate knowing who the owners of the companies you list are, and who holds principal shares in them. If it turns out it is the same individuals against whom smart sanctions should continue to be imosed, then no, Mr Biti does not have my agreement on the matter. If however the major shareholders are not in fact ZANU PF Bigwigs there may be some room to manoeuver. If they however are the ones who will profit surely we can complain of doublespeak. Please let me know if you find out. Thanks

Twenty years since I left my African home. A place I vowed to serve as I proudly became a citizen. Our workers and friends wept. I cried, my wife cried and both my sons wept the night we flew out on TAP to Lisbon. I always wanted to return to my adopted homeland, my sons birth land. However I knew that I would never be able to tear myself away a second time.
Twenty years and all I have are fond memories along with some horrible memories as I was arrested five times just for being a white man.

I cannot believe that here I am, in poor health and coming up to 56 years of age and it is 20 years since leaving. One of the reasons I chose Rhodesia when looking for a new healthier homeland was a doctos recommendation and twenty years have fled since leaving. To think that sordid little lump of corrupt flesh has held the reins of power, of life and death over every living creature be they human or animal. I loved the country from the first moment I set foot upon that distinctive red soil in 1977. I also grew to love many of the ordinary folk that my daily life introduced to me. I met big Josh once and although I detested him over the Viscount disasters I found him a pleasant likeable chap, a real life Sekuru, BABA of his people. To think, one man holds the responsibility for the decay. Like a rotten tooth he should be extracted...has anyone the intestinal fortitude to be the one?

I was one of the casuals recruited to help build the stage and then sell T-shirts, escort takings etc., at the AI concert at the Chinese built stadium near the infamous heroes acre back when we still thought Zimbabwe could still be salvaged. I think many of us at that concert felt the message AI was getting across via the music and the artists. Zimbabwe has a future, we, the young people of Zimbabwe of all shades, could help to build a truly multi racial, multi cultural country as a shining example to the world. Sadly Amnesty never followed through and world leaders have allowed an obnoxious petty dictator to destroy a country, condemn many of her people to a slow, lingering deat, to ensure one of the biggest forex earners (tourism) to collapse and to allow a truly wonderful resource (the wildlife) to be decimated. And for what? Greed, lust, power? It is time the little dark skinned meglomaniac was indicted for crimes against humanity and treason against the state.
